Anna Krist (they/she) is a consultant and facilitator who supports individuals and groups in building sustainable, equitable movements for collective liberation.

Anna first came to organizing and facilitation as a student, advocating for peer-led health education classes in high schools. These days, much of Anna’s work focuses on areas of mental health, prison abolition, and reproductive justice. They have spent years working in a range of non-profits, collectives, and service providers, gaining insight into the many ways in which movement organizations can thrive and struggle.

As a queer, mixed race Asian-American person from a middle class background, Anna brings an intersectional anti-oppression lens to their consulting, facilitation, and artistic work. Their facilitation approach combines a keen sense of clarity and humor to support groups through growth and decision-making. Anna is passionate about peer-to-peer learning and frequently collaborates with members of their community to deepen their political education and skill-building. Anna is also a frequent trainer and collaborator with AORTA (Anti-Oppression Resource and Training Alliance), a worker-owned cooperative devoted to strengthening movements for social justice and a solidarity economy.

In their spare time, Anna is part of a collective that organizes around informal mental health services for people of color. Anna was previously a member of the Reproductive Justice Leadership Institute, where they facilitated focus groups, community forums, and public workshops around healthcare access in Asian communities in NYC. Anna also creates functional pottery; for more about their ceramics practice, please visit ACKpots.com.
